Dr. Sheri D. Ruffai

Dr. Sheri D. Ruffai is the Chief Executive Officer of Taylor Vaun Consulting, LLC.  A company that specializes in strengthening the field of community violence intervention (CVI) by providing consultation and technical assistance to local community-based nonprofits. 

For the past six years, her work has centered on violence prevention and intervention within Chicago. Dr. Ruffai served as a Program Supervisor for the Metropolitan Family Services-Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P) initiative, as the Director of Strategic Partnerships for Acclivus, Inc., and as the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Technical Assistance for the READI National Center for Safe Communities. She entered this field over a decade ago providing Multi-Systemic Therapy and wraparound services to justice-involved youth and their families. She later began working with DCFS-involved youth and those experiencing chronic homelessness. 

 

Dr. Ruffai earned a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University, a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management (Human Services) from Spertus College, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing) from Central State University. Currently, she is the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at Generations College (formerly MacCormac College).
